Fine and elegantly curved late Edo period Japanese Tachi Sword with slightly shortened blade.
The polish and condition is very very good, no damage, nick or scratch to mention, fresh sharp polish with strong make up on the hamon, but activities are still well visible. The hada grain is fine dense clearly visible. Kissaki is healthy with good boshi also.
The tachi koshirae is in great condition also, the fitting are high quality pieces with rich decoration, and thick silvering. There is minor discoloration of the fabrics and wear on the silver wash, which comes with age.
The saya lacquering is well done with a faint Samurai family symbol on it.
Sword comes with copy of Japanese Registration card (original kept in Japan by law)
