Edward William Wyon (1811-1885) was an English sculptor and medal maker. He was born in London, where he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts from 1829.
Among his assignments were works intended for reproduction by Wedgwood and numerous portrait busts and medals. He created reliefs for Drapers’ Hall, London (1866) and two caryatids for the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (1874).
The plaque depicts the elves couple Oberon and Titania, after a scene from a Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare.
Will be packaged with care and shipped with track and trace.
