FIAT 508/C truck sold on March 4th 1938 by FIAT Torino to FIAT Ognina Catania, invoice no. 245849, registered on 27-12-1938. License plate CT 17827. Purchased on May 8th 1958 and converted into a truck with new number plate ME 25541. Purchased again on 20-11-1980 and on 16-05-1981. Bodywork: restored in the vehicle original colour using the code provided by FIAT Torino historical archives. Saddlery: refurbished not original, durable and washable, with material not intended for elegance. Cargo bed: it was completely disassembled and rebuilt in its entirety as the original model. The entire wooden structure is fixed with iron parts identical to the original one and is nail-free. Bank boards are intersected and free in movement. The are held in place by screws for stability and safety. Each mechanical part has been refurbished and kept in use, perfectly overhauled and in working order, with conservation work. Vehicle with ASI Golden Plate from 2010. Wheels: The vehicle mounts "colonial" wheels of the time in aluminium alloy with original hubcaps. There are no damages or scratches and the car hasn’t been involved in accidents. No bubbles or rust spots on the paint. The car was preserved and since restoration has driven 2480 km.
