A superb Certina DS3 in amazing cosmetic condition for a watch of its age (see pics). The dial is extremely clean , sparkles in the sun - all original. The crown is Certina signed. The date is quick-set via the first stop on the crown. The pictures show the Cal 919-1 movement in its unique housing that exemplifies Certina’s “DOUBLE SAFETY” ( DS) system . The movement beats at 28,800bph so the seconds hand glides smoothly across the dial as you would expect it to. The case is in fantastic condition and has that “helmet-look” favoured by some manufacturers in the 70’s like Omega - so the watch has some 20mm depth to it.
