Replica Anno 1566. Geuzen token.
Obverse. Bust of Philips II facing the left.
Reverse, two shaking hands
Cast silver oval 2.2 x 2 mm / 4.4 cm x 4.5 cm
with two calabash bottles, bead and eyelet.
Later work, crude casting Very beautiful.
Chain with lock is 70 cm long.
weight is 23 grams heavy.

The token is after the design of the
first geuze token, designed in 1566
and made by the Brussels based
sculptor and silversmith Jonghelinck.
This is the moderne version with as appendices
the begging bowl and the two calabash bottles of the
original Geuzen, whom toke the honorary title of "beggars" in 1566
