Ford Mutt M151 type A1. Year of manufacture 1965, with Dutch license plate and APK valid till March 2019. Standard rear-wheel drive which can be switched to 4wd off-road. The Mutt was designed by Ford for the American Defence after the 2nd World War. The unique feature of this design is the independent rear suspension improving comfort in driving significantly. The majority of these jeeps were destroyed after use by the American Defence, so they are becoming rare. The jeep offered here, is technically restored to perfect condition: where necessary, welding was done and after that the body was colour painted. Wheel bearings and shock absorbers were renewed all-round. The total Brake Kit including the brake lines are completely new as well as the fuel lines. The engine is overhauled with new piston rings, cylinder head levelled, valve seats sanded and new valve guides fitted, new batteries and a new starter motor. The cover is complete, with side pieces and doors. (doors must be still partly refurbished) 2 rear tires have yet to be replaced and the heater (tested working) is included separately. An ideal Jeep for off-roading or to perfect further to show condition.
