A very nice 23/24 karat gold plated luxury cutlery set from the Nivella brand in Solingen in a lockable, Bordeaux red original case (2 functional combination locks), good condition. It consists of 12 dinner spoons, 12 dinner forks, 12 dinner knives, 12 teaspoons, 12 dessert forks and 12 different serving utensils such as a ladle, salad utensils, cake server, sugar tong, etc. (see photos 5/6). The cutlery is marked with “Nivella Rostfrei HARTVERGOLDET” (photos 11/12). The knife blades are labelled "NIVELLA EDELSTAHL ROSTFREI" (photo 13). Size of the case: 47.5 cm x 34.5 cm x 10.5 cm. Total weight with cutlery 6.7 kg Case and plastic cutlery inserts show signs of age (photo 18). Both ladles have storage marks and abrasion (photos 16-18). Retail price at the time was approx. €2400.
